Dr. Zahra Yousefi holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. With extensive professional experience in the rehabilitation of injured athletes and older adults, she has drawn upon years of scientific practice and clinical expertise to create this dynamic and engaging training approach.
Dr. Zahra Yousefi’s professional résumé and academic background are presented below.
The creator of this training method, through a profound understanding of the mechanical effects of water on joint movement and the isokinetic properties of water during resistance exercises, introduced an additional external resistance component—namely elastic bands—to develop this unique and pioneering exercise system for the first time.
Furthermore, the exercises are performed in a rhythmic and music-based format, which not only enhances enjoyment, motivation, and excitement, but has also demonstrated statistically significant effects on body composition and health-related physical fitness factors, according to conducted research studies.
In addition to fostering enthusiasm and vitality, the group-based nature of Aqua Ertpump training sessions, combined with music and the aquatic environment, creates a highly stimulating and enjoyable exercise experience for participants.
